This was a very special session for me. This is my nephew Carson Evans. It was really hard for me to post these images. I know this is going to sound crazy, but I thought if I don't post the images, maybe it won't be real. I just can't wrap my head around the fact that Carson is graduating this year. Uncle Steve and I are so proud of you. Carson I pray for you so often. May the Lord show Himself strong to you. Love, Aunt Mitzi

Last Summer I had the pleasure of capturing images as Chappell Supply had their ground breaking ceremony. For the past 2 weeks I have been following the building process as Cedar Valley Steel constructs Chappell Supply together piece by piece. As a mom of a 6 yr old who loves Legos, I have really enjoyed watching this process. It takes many different components to assemble the building.

Generally, I don't work outside unless it is 50 degrees or more....well lets just say I have a new appreciation for the men and women who work in the cold. I think the coldest day was last week when it was 17 degrees and who knows what the wind chill was.

Tip #1 - Be Respectful

Hello everyone, today we are going to talk about our children. Since their birth, our children have had all kinds of devices in their faces, whether it is a video camera, a point and shoot camera, or an SLR. Oh I almost forgot about about phones (we will talk about that in another post). This is a great thing and well a bad thing too.

Lets talk for a minute about the good and bad. I get so excited to see parents capturing great moments of their children riding bikes, playing out side, or even sleeping. It is important for us to capture these everyday events. We also love portraits. We tend to think of these as maybe a little more serious. We think about what the children are wearing, how their hair looks, and check for clean faces. The thing that tends to occur in both events is that we want the children to stop what they are doing and look at us. I say if you are trying to capture everyday moments...just let it happen. You can get their attention every-once-in-a-while but just let them be and you will get some great images. With portraits make an arrangement or an appointment with you child. Say "Mommy wants to take some nice pictures of you. Can we please work for 15 minutes and then you can watch (your favorite show or have 15 minutes of computer time). Be respectful of their time and their feelings. We don't want to burn them out.

A friend of mine had a great agreement with her children once they were a little older like elementary age. When the family was on vacation or they needed a family photo, she would say "Ok this is a non-negotiable photo" Then the children knew that it was time to be still, listen to what mom needs and smile and mom agreed to not fuss too much, get the shot and then let them play. The mom was very respectful of her children and their time.

This is one of my examples. I made an agreement with Thomas that if he would work with me for 15 minutes then we would play in the snow and make snow ice cream (the ice cream was just as much for me as it was for him). As long as I respect his time, he is going to trust me and will be more willing to cooperate for the next time.

This is my little Tatum. She did a great job for her 1 year old portraits. She has a contagious smile.

I wanted to tell you about the hair accessory she is wearing. This is a Dew Rag and Brooch from Little Wittle Munkees. They are so well manufactured for example, there is padding found behind the brooch area so the brooch does not rub or irritate your head. The Brooches are soldered on not glued. I had no problem with the brooch sagging during the shoot as Tatum moved around. They come in many different styles to choose from and 6 different brooches.
You can purchase them in Tulsa from Adriane Nichols (918) 852.1180 She is my friend and FABULOUS Hair Stylist.

Libby, a great friend

This is the Ward family with their dog Libby. Dan and Ashley added Libby to their family 10 years ago. She has been a great companion, friend and play mate. Due to health issues Libby will not be with the Ward family much longer.

Thank you Libby for being such a wonderful model. It was a blessing to see how the Lord gave you energy and strength for your session.

You will be missed.

Henry

I was so blessed today. Henry did an amazing job during our photo session.

The highlight were Henry's older brothers. Will was so excited to kiss Henry's head and take a picture with his brother. Then there was Caleb, Henry's oldest brother who is 3 yrs old. Caleb did an outstanding job during his part of the session. I asked Caleb to freeze and kiss his brother...I have NEVER had a little boy listen and obey so well. I was laughing so hard b/c 30 seconds later he was still kissing the baby. I then told him he was going to get a treat for doing such a good job. Caleb asked "rcan rI reat rthe rtreat rwhile rThomas ris rhere." Hard to understand...he was STILL kissing the baby while he was asking the question!!!! Oh next I asked him to rest his head on Henry's head VERY gentle. Then I asked him to close his eyes...so he started snoring pretending that he was asleep. Precious.

Thank you God for blessing us with these little moments.

Mallory is a special senior, because she was one of Thomas' first babysitters. Thomas just loves Mawlory (he says her name so cute). She is a wonderful Christian woman, who has her priorities in line... God, family, others. I know she will do well wherever God leads her.

I also wanted to say Thanks to Maggie!! She was a wonderful assistant today!! Maggie you are beautiful and we love you!!

A new little friend

Good evening all. Glad to have a chance to post some new images. It has been a little crazy in the Aylor home. We went on vacation a few weeks ago to Disney World. We had such a wonderful time. I am hoping to post some images of our trip soon. This is also the month of Thomas' birthday. He is turning the big 5...he is really a whole hand full now!! We have pretty much celebrated ALL month long.

Today I made a new little friend, her name is Tatum. She is so precious. Her session was done in her home and in Mimi's back yard (not me Mimi...Tatum's grandma is Mimi, so she will have 2 Mimi's now). There are a few factors that help make a session successful. One is having the session in the child's home, they are so much more relaxed and comfortable. As you can see, Tatum had no problem falling asleep no matter where she was. The other factor, is having relaxed parents. I have been so spoiled with the best clients. Andrea and Jason just hung out while I worked with Tatum and they were right there when I needed something. I had a blessed day.

A Sweet Little New Prop

Several years ago I had the pleasure of taking Ann and Jason's engagement portraits. They were new in love. Well that sweet love produced the cutest little prop...Creed. He is just the sweetest little boy, who loves to have ALL his clothes on. With some patience and a few tricks up my sleeve, we were able to get some wonderful family moments. Oh thanks Granny...she had some good tricks up her sleeve too!!!

Growing up so fast

I have had the pleasure of capturing the Stanley girls through the years. It is so exciting to watch them grown and to see their personalities develop. The oldest is such a girly girl and the little one is a bashful.

We had so much fun running through the field. We had a tickle fight with the "tickle weeds." Ok I know it is a little lame, but the girls thought is was funny.

Christina Thanks for Curing Me!

Just 4 short hours ago I considered myself petrified of roller coasters. You see as a little girl, I was deathly scared of heights. Like I would not ride an escalator or go to a mall with 2 levels b/c of my fear (yes it was bad...VERY BAD). So Roller Coaster would be totally out of the question.

After a 5 minute ride around Arcadia Farms on a Polaris Ranger RZR ATV with Christina at the wheel...I HAVE BEEN CURED. At this point there is no roller coaster that could be scarier. I am happy to say I have all my photo equipment and I am in one piece. Thank goodness I have an appointment with my hair stylist for a color...EVERY and I mean EVERY hair is now gray!

After catching my breath and kissing the ground, we started our session.

Live to Ride Ride to Live

My last session started like any other session. Couple portraits, children portraits, family portraits, then large family portrait, and then things started to change. The adults swapped their polo shirts for graphic tees, added sun glasses and started up the bikes. Ok its not like I have never been around bikes before, but there is something about being RIGHT next to a Harley Davidson when the key is turn. I can't tell you how many times I JUMPED. They are loud. I know you are wondering if I hopped on one of the bikes, but some how that didn't happen. Hopefully Bobby will take me out for a ride soon.

We had a great time capture EVERY angle of these bikes.

Sweet Sweet Sweet!

This morning session was a Delight (yes that is with a capital D).
The Stanley girls are just as sweet and yummy as sweet tea! We had a blast capturing their images. They loved looking for the ducks in the pond and didn't mind a bit that the grass was a little wet.

We also added their Shih tzu puppies, Gracie and Bella. This morning was full of girly girl stuff!! Oh I just loves sessions like this b/c I don't get alot of this girly stuff at my house!

The Van Man is 6 Months old

The Van Man is 6 months old. He has developed quit a personality. He reminds me of his grandpa (Dustin's Dad). Van is very quiet and will let you know when he is ready to have your attention.

Several weeks ago I did a photo session of my niece and nephews. It was much easier than the old days. See Once Upon a Time...I was their babysitter. I use to LOVE to dress the children up while their mother was away. I would spend most of the day takeing their pictures. Even when I was a teen...I had a dream of being a photographer. I feel so blessed that my dream has come true.

Well things have changed...Carson isn't 4 years old anymore and I'm not the babysitter anymore. Carson is 16 yrs old, Hannah is 14, Wesley is 12, and Braden is 8. I have been blessed to be their Aunt Mitzi for 8 yrs. God is so good.

A new Carpenter

Amelia Jean June-Bug Jones

We have our own Dr. Seuss in the family...Alex and Thomas love making up funny names. So our sweet Amelia has now turned into Amelia Jean June-Bug Jones. It just cracks me up b/c then her mom always shouts "Moore" at the end. A poor Kindergarten teacher is going to have a heck of a time teaching Amelia how to spell Amelia Jean June-Bug Jones Moore.

I am so spoiled with such great nieces that love their portrait sessions.

Spring Session

I am so glad that the construction is complete at one of our local parks...Will Rodgers Park. The City added some new featured which included expanding the water feature.

I met the Williamson Family at Will Rodgers to capture Spring images of the children. I was amazed to see how the children had grown since Christmas. To my surprise Morgan is now taller than me...I know that is not hard to do!!! While shooting, we saw Geese with their Goslings. We also found a frog so big we thought it was an alligator!!!

Normally I ask the parents to hang back, but today Mom and Dad were a huge help. Thanks Mom and Dad for helping me get some great smiles from the children.

Texas School 2009

Steve and I spent this last week in Texas learning from some of the best Photographers in the business.

Steve's class was Digital Masters with Don Emmerich and Frank Cricchio. In Steve's words, "It was fun and I learned a lot about Photoshop."

My class was Eyes, Camera, Heart with Ralph and Ryan Romaguera. The course was about seeing the light inside and outside, learning more about your camera and photographing what you love. Ralph did an amazing job of answering our questions, critiquing our images and sharing his love of photography with each of us. I am looking forward to putting what I learned into my work.

This week was not all about going to class...we also had a great time making new friends and the night life was something else!!! The sponsors had crazy parties like reserving 6 flags for our final night and unbelievable giveaways. Steve and I did not win a prize...our friend JJ won a great gift package from a photo lab. Go JJ!!

I want to thank my mom and dad..Grandy and Poppie and Steve's mom and dad..Nana and Papaw for watching Thomas. We could not have been gone without you. Thanks for loving Thomas!!!

I have a very special place in my heart of Kindergarten. Since I was a little girl I had many dreams...2 of my top dreams were to be a Kindergarten Teacher and to be a Photographer. I am so blessed to say that God has made my dreams come true.

When I was asked to capture this special moment for these Kindergartners, I shouted YES! There is just something so sweet about these little people in their graduation caps and gowns. I remember my Kindergarten graduation like yesterday, I was dressed in my rainbow dress and jelly saddles.

These children were so well behaved and a delight to work with. Hope you enjoy this preveiw!!!

Bethany, Jordan, Morgan, and Haleigh begin their perfect Prom night with a photo session in Downtown OKC. From Main Street to Myriad Garden, we not only had a blast but caught the eye of many passerbyers. These ladies were unbelievable.

A little Wild and Total Sweet!

Callia is back and lovin this Spring!! She is 2 1/2. Callia just cracks me up because she is a little parrot. I am amazed at how smart she is.

We were blessed to use Chris Nick's backyard for this session. It was great b/c I was able to use his studio to change clothes and then the backyard for shooting.

While we were inside changing clothes, Callia fell in love with Sam the Bear.

Callia's mom wanted to do fun images with water, so we dressed Callia up in rain gear and made it rain.

A battle between Spring and Winter is being fought today. I think winter might win, but not without Spring putting up a good fight.

I love this one, it looks like the tulip is saying..."What in the heck I am not coming out any more." I also love the way the it looks like it is wearing a collared coat.

Snow in Spring

Thomas was very excited when we were finally able to go outside to see the snow. He made an announcement to the entire neighborhood that, "It has SSSSSNNNNOOOOWWWWed"

Yes, Thomas is doing what it looks like he is doing. He loves to eat the snow ever since he ate snow at his Aunt's house a couple of years ago. *Side note...this is not the Aunt afraid of germs...this is the crazy wild aunt* She made amazing snow ice cream. Now Thomas thinks all snow taste like E's snow.

I forgot that Thomas is able to throw pretty good now!!

We tried to make something out of the snow. Thomas decided to make a green alien BLOB!

I love to find the spring foliage dusted with the snow.

Thanksgiving Rocks

I know its a strange title for March, but I just had to share with you my newest craft.

Happy Birthday Grandy!! My sisters and I are creating a Thanksgiving plate set for our mom. Thanksgiving is HER HOLIDAY!! Each year we will create new plates to add to her Thanksgiving set.

This year we used our children's feet prints. Jae AKA E did the art work. She is so amazing...she can draw anything she sees and then of course add her corkiness. Then E and I painted the plates at our favorite Pottery store...The Paintin Station.

We tried to have the plates resemble our children...This is spiky hair "Thomas Turkey"

I have always dreamed of being a photography. My friends and family never had to worry about who would take pictures, because there was always a camera in my hands. This is my niece Alex. I have been blessed to be her photographer from day one! Her father has been a great trooper though all my crazy ideas on capturing images of his sweet daughter. From straping angels wings to her arms, to laying her in a bed of Easter Eggs, we have done it all.

I just have to say that I am not the only one that enjoys our photo sessions, Alex has a blast. She has taken what she has learned and used it everywhere she goes. When Alex did the Princess Makeover in Walt-Disney World, she told the photographer that she knew what to do; her Mimi is a photographer.

For this session, I wanted to show off her independence and her firecracker spirit. She is a Kindergartner who is ready to take on the world.

This is my favorite shot of the day.

Her mother was not so sure about the phone booth...it contains germs (yes my sister is a nurse.) The creative free spirit in me could not stop here...

Take her shoes off b/c it just looked better. If you look really close, there is gum on the ground. I thought my sister was going to cry...Alex almost stepped in it with her BARE FEET.

We had trouble keeping it together after that!!! We were all laughing so hard that we WERE crying.

Jae was my wonderful assistant, helping me keep Alex laughing and working her magic with the reflector!!

Alex, I am so proud of what a sweet girl you are becoming. Keep working hard in school.

Spring Break Girls

Kickin off Spring Break with senior sessions!! Both girls are seniors at Deer Creek.

Katie is an easy going girl. She is headed off to OSU in a few months. We had a great time talking about movies we have seen and movies we need to see.

Sarah is Katie's good friend. And we went to Myrid Garden and around down town OKC for her session. Sarah kept me laughing the entire time. Once Sarah graduates, she is headed off to OU.

There is something very special about the transition from being a little girl into a young lady. This is my friend Jillian and she just celebrated her birthday. This year instead of having a traditional birthday party, Jillian was treated to an American Girl weekend. When I heard about this fabulous plan, I knew exactly what I wanted to give Jillian for her Birthday. So I got to knittin' and made matching scarfs for Jillian and her doll Mia. Then of course we need to capture this special time, so off we went to the park to have a mini photo session.

Micah celebrated her 17th birthday with a Makeover. She started with shopping for new clothes then off to be pamper with new hair color and style.

Since it was so cold outside we needed to find a good indoor place to start our session. So I contacted Cuppies and Joe, which is one of the hottest new places in Paseo. They were gracious enough to say sure come make yourself at home...so we did.

From the bottom of Cuppies and Joe to their cute court yard...we defiantly took advantage of their great property. Please stop by the next time you are close to down town OKC. It is so worth it!! For me, it brings back wonderful memories. My mom is a wedding coordinator, which means I grew up with her making wedding cakes in our home. There is nothing like walking into a home with the smell of cake and icing!!

Zoo

Here in OKC we have one of the top 10 Zoos in the United States. For our family and many metro families, it just makes sense to have a season pass, so that we can go whenever we the urge. My dear friend Shawna and I took the 4 children to the zoo this afternoon. We were very upset to learn the zoo has changed its closing policy. In the past the zoo closed at 5:00pm but if you were on the grounds, you were welcome to enjoy the zoo until dark. Now...well until we can get them to change it..when the zoo closes at 5:00pm, everyone must leave the grounds. For many families, this was a treasured time to visit the zoo after Moms and Dads get off work. The grounds are quiet and the animal are VERY active and enjoying their dinner. Weather wise, this is the best time to walk around the zoo. Hopefully this policy will be adjusted so that families can continue their much needed family time.

On a much lighter side...here are some images that I captured of our children. This trip to the zoo, the male lion was announcing to everyone that we was the King of the Zoo. His roar was unbelievable, it was so loud and thundering. We fed the ducks and geese with the bread crust that were cut from the wonderful Peanut Butter and Honey Dinosaur sandwiches. Shawna is such a wild and crazy rebel...we hung out in the zoo until the zoo police found us and asked us to leave. Our argument was that as members of the OKC Zoo were were NOT notified of this policy change. Also, Caitlyn turned 9 months old so these are some special images of her.

Oh you guys I am so in love with this little baby!! Today we had Van's newborn session. He is 1 week old...I love to do newborn sessions within the first week of their new little life.

Van did a great job with all the different poses, from the beautiful hand knitting sweater by Patsy to the 3 blanket changes (Mimi couldn't figure out witch one I liked best).

Hard to put into words

When I look at these images, it is hard to put into words the honor, respect and gratitude I have for men like Jordan. He is leaving soon to go over seas to protect us. Before he left we were able to visit the Oklahoma Capital and capture some special moments. One of my favorite images is the one where Jordan's grandfather, who also served our country for many years, is pasting the American flag to Jordan.

Thank you Jordan for serving our country and keeping us safe.

Met the Van Man in person

Oklahoma is under a State of Emergency with the weather. It sleeted all day, which was nice b/c it gave cars traction since it was pure ice the day before. All that to say that I do not drive in icy weather, so my father drove Thomas and I to the hospital to meet Donovan.

Oh you guys, my nephew is the cutest baby ever...well not as cute as my son but he is so precious. He is a beautiful combination of my sister and brother-in-law. From my brother-in-laws crooked fingers to my sisters cute nose.

The room was full of visitors from my older sister Stephanie (red head) to both sets of grandparents.

So these are some of my favorites from today. I may be going back tomorrow, so come back soon to see what we have been doing.

"Is it Summer?""Is it Summer?""Is it Summer?""Hey Mom, Is it Summer?""Is it Summer?"...these are the words I heard ALL day from Thomas. Now don't get me wrong, I love warm days in the winter, but this is really messin with Thomas head. In Mother's Day Out he has been learning about the seasons...Summer, Fall, Winter, and Spring. So being blessed with warm weather in the middle of winter is just too hard for a 4 yr old to get.

We tried our best to take advantage of the day. We played outside and I also had a photo session. Thomas got ahold of the camera and had a BLAST taking pics of me and his toys. Thomas wanted me to take some of him too (I was so shocked). The thing he liked the best was the rapid fire my camera has...Thomas shot 53 images in under 3 minutes. Here are just a few, since most of them are exactly the same.

I hope you were able to enjoy this warm day.

My little sis is having a baby

Well, it has taken almost 9 months for it to really sink in that my little sister is having a BABY. Tonight was the icing on the cake...I truly believe it...she is having a BABY. It is so wonderful and strange at the same time to actually be capturing her maternity portraits. I look at her and think she should still be 7 years old. We should be wrestling and kicking each other off the bunk bed (don't worry we just kicked each other off the lower bunk) or doing our summer routine: watching Dukes of Hazard, eating frozen pizza and swimming at the city pool.

She is all grown up now and going to be a mom soon. I know she will do a great job.

Saturday God blessed us with a beautiful winter day, it felt like a spring day.

I was so glad we were able to take advantage of this day by having a senior portrait session. Jon-Luke is a senior at SWCS. He loves football and life.

Jon-Luke was up for trying out several different locations. Our last location was railroad tracks. While we were shooting, this huge gust of wind came down the tracks right at us. It was a cold front. That was one of the weirdest experiences...to be outside when the weather changes.

The Itch to Stitch

With the combination of a beautiful new niece, cold weather, and new yarn...I just can't help but knit, Knit, KNIT! I just love knitting baby hats, there is just something sweet about a baby in a soft knitted hat. Here are some of my newest creations. I love the Baby Rollin' Beret because it is so unexpected and simple to complete. The white hat easily goes with every outfit with a change of the ribbon.

Now I did not do the booties, my friend who has the "fastest knitting needles" of the west whipped them up.

A sweet story

It was not not by chance that God brought these two together. His plan is perfect.

Tabitha and Adam planned an amazing unique wedding. One of my favorite parts was the planting of a tree. The symbolism between the tree and their marriage with God as the foundation, was so beautiful.

The True Reason for the Season

My friends and I try each Christmas to help our children focus on the true meaning of Christmas. We read the Christmas story from the Bible, we make cookies and goodies with them, we spend family time looking at Christmas lights, AND each year we dress them up to capture the nativity story. There is laughter, screaming and sometimes crying but it is always worth it in the end.

For some reason each year I dread getting the Christmas things out, but I love my home once all the decorations are in place. This year has been more exciting and has really touched my heart. It started with an all family affair of getting the decorations out of the attic. Thomas, who is 4, got to climb up in the attic with Daddy and look around. He just thought that was the greatest. Steve and Thomas worked on the outside hanging lights and I worded on the inside putting together the tree. Thomas and I then worked on the ornaments. As we were working Thomas asked where the star was. After 7 years of marriage, Steve and I had not purchased anything for the top of our tree. So with tears in my eyes, I sent Steve and Thomas off to purchase a star. Of course I would like one that was silver or gold...it would look better with the tree. About an hour later they come home with a RAINBOW star. It was the most beautiful star I had ever seen.

Then on Monday, we turned on the tree, so it was the only light. We sang songs, prayed and adding the star to the top.

I know we will do more fun things in the days leading up to Christmas, I just pray our focus always returns to the reason we celebrate this season. Jesus Christ

My new Niece

I am so excited to announce the arrival of my niece Amelia Jean Moore. Born Nov 19th at 5:43 PM. She weighed 5 pounds 8 ounces and is 18 inches long...can I just tell you she is the prettiest thing ever!!! I have never seen such a long tiny thing!!

We had an amazing day capturing images of Alex and Amelia. Alex was just so excited, she could hardly contain herself.

Thomas is so lucky to have one of his best friends right down the street. We are always watching the boys thinkin' about how things will be when they grow up. Will they be lawn mowing buddies or what kind of trouble will they get in? For now we will just enjoy and take in each minute.

The Perfect Fall Day

Today was the perfect Oklahoma fall day, the trees were gorgeous, no wind, the temp was in the 70s and great football.

It is such a blessing to be able to share my gift with others, like with the Friends are a very special family in our life. Our son Thomas says that Caleb (2 yr old) is his little brother. We had a great time finding colored leaves, looking for frogs and creating smiles.

This is a very busy time of the year, whether you are involved in school activities or beginning to plan for the holiday season. So lets all take a minute to STOP, take a breath....and relax.

Kylie had a crazy busy day, but we made the end of the day the best part!! Kylie did a great job of surrounding herself with special people during her session. Her mom was "Ms Wardrobe" taking care of Kylie's clothes and Kylie's Boyfriend Cole well.... did whatever I needed so he was AKA /Reflector Man/Comedian/Wagon Puller . Thanks Cole!

We did several different looks for Kylie, but they all had her great eye for style.

Just in time

I love waking up to the sound of rain, especially on days where I don't have many things scheduled. I don't think I would do well living in Seattle, but here in Oklahoma if you don't like the weather wait 15 minutes and it will change.

Heather and I caught a great evening last night for her senior portrait session. Heather brought lots of great colorful outfits which gave the session a nice variety of looks. One of my favorites was the green dress with the umbrella. I always ask the seniors to bring something they like to do, so this is a great prop option for the girls!! Great choice Heather!!

I have one more senior session available this year, so call now before its gone.

Our Family Session

Friday was our annual Wheeler Family Portraits. I know how everyone feels about family sessions, even our family has difficulties. The end result is worth the effort. If you are wondering how we do our own session, I set up the camera and set the timer. Then I run back and forth! It makes for some pretty funny out-takes.

The best advise I have is to relax, let me handle the kids (too many Chiefs can make the little Indians crazy), and relax.

Fall Break

Sam started Fall Break off with an awesome Senior Session (sorry it was so early in the morning Sam). With the combination of Sam's personality and his great selection of clothes, we were able to create great shots. The one under the bridge is my favorite.

This was my first time to have an early morning session in Bricktown. I was surprised that main street was so empty. We did run into a few weird guys but were able to escape pretty easy. We also drove around down town and found a few new locations. I was excited to find a building with a huge red wall.

I love love LOVE waking up to sunny days, especially when I have sessions. It was nice and quiet in Bricktown this evening. Elaina, her mom and I had a great time capturing Elaina's senior portraits. Elaina has a beautiful natural smile that is very contagious. While we were shooting, we got to go into an old Candy warehouse to do some images, which was so cool. The guy kept saying its all run down, which is EXACTLY what I wanted!!!! Thanks Elaina for a fun evening. I just love seniors!

Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting the Woodall family. They are preparing to head overseas to be missionaries. I really admire their unselfishness to do this. Its hard for me to fathom the idea of leaving everything that you know and following God's calling for your family.

This past weekend I had the chance to get to know Travis. He is a Senior at Southwest Covenant High School. He plays football, basketball and is really tall (ok I know what ya'll are thinkin' EVERYONE is taller than you Mitzi..oh so true). I found out some interesting things during the session. Yes I am alot shorter than I think I am and its alot harder to jump over fences than it use to be.

Puppy Love

The Nick family are the most loving people one will ever meet. Chris and Annie open their hearts and home to people and pets.

Annie asked if I was willing to take on the task of doing a family portrait. I was not sure how it would be with 3 dogs. I have done family sessions with children and 1 dog, but not one with just dogs. It went great. Everyone did very well. Bonnie is the black and white dog...she is a little shy. Gracie, the brown and black mix, knows the routine. If she sits and looks at the camera she will get a treat. And then we have Bella, she is the tan and white puppy. She is in the toddler stage. She didn't want to sit still very long and she has lots of energy. She was fun!! It is just amazing to see their personalities and how different they are.

Can't stop laughing

I have really been blessed with all my great senior sessions.

Trent and I had a great time at one of our local parks and the old Rt 66 bridge. Unfortunately, we started in what I thought would be a great wooded area...ended up being a buffet bar of "Trent and Mitzi" for all the mosquitoes!! Poor Trent even got a bit on the face (Hey Trent...I got a shot of that crazy mosquito as its biting you!!). Well at least Steve is great with Photoshop so we can get rid of the giant red spot!!!!

I was excited that not all of my shots were blurry due to Trent making me laugh. Trent, your joyful, easy going spirit is very contagious. Thanks for a great session. God has some amazing things in store for you.
